Patience leads to spectacular stories

I was looking for some butterfly images when this photograph caught my attention":

Photograph by John Rosemeyer

Switch It Up!

Because the Rule of Thirds is so strongly associated with landscapes, people often don’t consider using it for portraiture. But it can be an equally useful teaching tool for shooting portraits. Although it’s very common to place your subject in the center of the frame when shooting portraits, equally strong portraits can be created by using the Rule of Thirds.”

This key lesson from one of our articles made me think about what happens when you switch things up from what you’re used to. You can create really interesting and spectacular images that would not be available to you if you fail to experiment or don’t try things beyond the usual.
