I love rim lighting. It has the power of turning mundane things into extraordinary images.

Here’s an interesting lesson about black and white photography:
“In black and white, textures are like the stars of the show. Since there’s no color to distract, textures really pop. You can bring depth and a tactile feel to your photos by capturing textures, like the grain of wood or the roughness of stone.“
Understanding how light can change composition is really what makes black and photography powerful.
